Samantha Vasquez

Samantha Vasquez was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from St. Edward’s University in Austin and her Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston. During law school she served as a Senior Editor of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review and gave back as a 3L mentor in the Hispanic Law Students Association.
Before joining the firm, Samantha served as Assistant General Counsel at the Texas Ethics Commission, where she handled civil enforcement actions stemming from confidential complaints filed against public officials and government entities throughout the state of Texas. In addition to conducting investigations and settlement negotiations, she handled administrative enforcement hearings before the Commissioners.
Because Texas workers’ compensation cases are administrative-law matters decided by administrative law judges, Samantha’s experience in contested administrative hearings translates directly to her work today. At Abbott, Clay & Bedoy, she advocates on behalf of injured Texas workers in their effort to receive the medical care and income benefits that they deserve.
Samantha is licensed to practice law in Texas. Outside the office, Samantha enjoys exploring Houston’s restaurant scene, going to concerts, traveling to new places, and spending time with her family.
