Introduction: Steven McGinley received his bachelors degree from Texas State University in 2008, where he majored in public relations. After deciding to go to law school, Steven attended Arizona Summit Law School in Phoenix. There, Steven was the managing articles editor for the school’s law review, and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for his legal writings following publication of two original articles. Additionally, Steven served as the law school’s Torts/IP Class Research Assistant.
After becoming licensed to practice law in Texas, Steven opened his own solo-practice firm, representing clients in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and immigration law.
Steven joined the firm of Abbott & Associates in November 2016, and since that time has focused his practice on helping injured Texas workers secure the medical care and income benefits that they deserve.
Steven is a member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Texas State Bar Workers’ Compensation Section.
In his spare time, Steven enjoys hiking with his dog, Sherlock.
