In 2008, Hank Altmiller received his bachelors degree at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, where, after serving as Vice President of the student body, he graduated with a double-major in political science and economics. Thereafter, he attended the prestigious Notre Dame Law School, where he was awarded the Harald A. Weber Award for Excellence in Oral Advocacy. Hank received his law degree in May 2011.
Following law school, Hank worked as a criminal prosecutor for the Harris County District Attorney’s office for more than seven years. During that time, Hank became a successful litigator, refining his skills and becoming a seasoned trial attorney.
In January 2016, Hank joined the team at Abbott & Associates in Houston, Texas. His practice now focuses on representing injured Texas workers in their fight to receive medical care and income benefits against the unfair practices of insurance companies, who otherwise have a duty to help Texans who have been injured on the job. Hank’s clients refer to him as down-to-earth, approachable, helpful, and trustworthy.
Hank has been licensed to practice law in Texas courts since November 2011, and is a member of the State Bar of Texas Workers’ Compensation Section. In his spare time, Hank enjoys jogging, movies, watching Notre Dame football games and traveling.
